Welcome and thanks for visiting my site!
While I believe it's hard to summarize one's identity in a paragraph, here's my attempt: I graduated from Pepperdine University in 2009 as a Doctor of Clinical Psychology, with a passion for working with teens and young adults (e.g., training at Duke University's student counseling center as an individual and group counselor, working as a career coach for at-risk high school students in south Orange County). I now focus on preventative and strengths-based efforts as a personal life coach (Teen Wisdom Certification) and mindfulness instructor (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction for Teens, MBSR-T) emphasizing the mind and body. I've been involved with Girls Incorporated, Orange County since 2014, currently active in their College Bound Mentorship Program, and was the keynote speaker for their Eureka summer camp for middle school girls in the summer of 2016. I also teach group reformer Pilates at Club Pilates and private sessions out of my home. I have a passion for writing as well (check out my book "The Masks We Wear" on Amazon!) and have a self-help workbook for teens on self-harm in-press with New Harbinger, releasing in Fall 2019.
For 13 years, I have been helping personal life coach clients explore, grow, learn, create, overcome, hope, and dream. Having struggled with anxiety and attention problems in my own life, I have found breathing and mindfulness exercises as well as movement (Pilates, biking, hiking) to be transformative and instrumental to my success, happiness, and ability to be Aware and Thriving!
I have taught weekly mindfulness workshops with teens in south Orange County in community and school settings. Contact me if you are interested in introducing mindfulness into your organization with teens or young adults.
Also currently accepting private personal life coaching and also Pilates clients in San Juan Capistrano area, pending availability and scheduling.
